06/28/09 - "Get Your Head In The Game" Blog Entry

Thank you to everyone who joined us for "KHG Night with the Wilmington Blue Rocks" on Friday night. Please know that we greatly appreciate your support!

If you weren't there, you'll be happy to hear that the rain held out and the Blue Rocks won - they beat the Potomac Nationals 8-7. More importantly though, we were able to introduce the foundation to lots of new people, which was really great. Our 'secret strategy' seemed to work really well - we gave away t-shirts that were left over from the walk and people lined up to meet us!

A special shout out goes to brain tumor survivor and KHG supporter, Katie Bitter (a.k.a. 'Katie Kaboom'), who came all the way from NJ with her family and friends to throw out the first pitch. Although she was a little nervous before the big moment, Katie did a great job and represented KHG extremely well. THANK YOU KATIE!
