Wilmington, DE March 25, 2010 -- The Kelly Heinz-Grundner Brain Tumor Foundation (KHG), headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, has announced that it recently agreed to merge with the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS), the nation’s largest non-profit organization serving the brain tumor community through Patient Services, Research, and Advocacy.
It wasn’t until months after his wife, Kelly Heinz-Grundner, had died of brain cancer in 2004 that Chris Grundner first realized he needed a logo for the foundation he had begun in Kelly’s name and memory.
With the goal of raising awareness of brain tumors, The Kelly Heinz-Grundner Brain Tumor Foundation (KHG) and Penn Neurosurgery have partnered to present “Brain Tumor Awareness Night” at Citizens Bank Park on Wednesday, September 30, when the World Champion Philadelphia Phillies face the Houston Astros at 7:05 p.m.

The Kelly Heinz Grundner (KHG) Brain Tumor Foundation, headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, has named The Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation (CBTF), headquartered in New York, New York, as the first partner to its “Get Your Head In The Game®” Brain Tumor Awareness Alliance, announced Christopher Grundner, KHG’s Executive Director.
